The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, also known as SNAP, is a federal program that provides financial assistance to purchase nutritious food.
The intention of this program is to help people that include:
people that are unemployed
people that are working part-time
people working for low wages
the elderly or disabled that are low-income
You can apply for SNAP benefits with your state.
Here is a tool to help you locate your state’s office in order to apply for SNAP benefits: https://www.usa.gov/state-social-services
If you apply and you qualify, you should receive your benefits as quickly as 7 days and no later than 30 days.
Qualifications are based on your gross monthly income and assets. For example, for a family of three, if your family’s income is under $2,353 a month in 2021, then you would qualify.
The SNAP benefits vary depending on your circumstances, but on average are approximately $130 a month per person in your family. You would be issued a card, similar to a debit or credit card, known as an EBT card (Electronic Benefits Transfer) where you can make your food purchases at authorized locations. Funds would be deposited to your EBT card on a monthly basis.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) ordered a ban on evictions until December 31, 2020.
If your landlord is threatening to evict you, you must provide a signed statement to your landlord stating that certain conditions are applicable to you in order to stop the eviction process.

Please note that landlords that violate this CDC order can face up to one year in jail and a $100,000 fine.
Claim Your Stimulus Check Now
If you have not claimed your stimulus check from the CARES Act stimulus package, then you have until October 15th to claim your stimulus check, otherwise, you will need to wait until 2021.
Your stimulus check is $1,200 per adult and $500 per qualifying dependent.
